Osteopathy is a system of healing using manual therapy tools to reduce tension and discomfort.
What is Osteopathy?
This type of alternative medicine focuses on total body health by treating the musculoskeletal, nervous, circulatory, myofascial, visceral and lymphatic systems. Osteopathy looks at the way the body functions as a whole.
Treatment involves several different techniques including massage, mobilizations/manipulations (the moving/movement of joints), exercise and lifestyle advice.
You dont have to be in pain or discomfort to visit on osteopath. Osteopathy can be great in preventing discomfort by finding and treating joints and tissue that are restricted prior to causing pain and discomfort.
Osteopaths can manage a range of conditions including:
Neck and back pain
Ankle, hip, knee and foot pain
Shoulder, elbow and arm pain
Arthritis
Sciatica
Headaches/ Migraines
Repetitive strain and overuse injuries
Pregnancy-related discomfort
Tendonitis
Sports related injuries
Post-surgical pain/management
Post-traumatic pain management (whiplash, post-fracture rehab, concussion)
Stress, digestive related issues
